Omega

When looking at price, along with perhaps status as well, you will find producers within the Swatch Group that have already overtaken Omega. On the other hand, the company still is able to command respect as the flagship of the group and as the timekeeper for the modern incarnations of 007 in addition to the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010. The business was founded in 1848. In 1930, it merged with Tissot to develop SSIH, which actually joined with another watch conglomerate, ASUAG, to make the Swatch Group in 1983, with Omega as the innovator. Within the 90's, the organization managed to expand directly into China industry and consequently set up a firm foothold in South east asia. This also generated a high improvement in manufacturing figures, putting it neck-and-neck together with Rolex.

And so, Omega is still a serious opponent owing to technology. Prior to now, Omega has introduced the innovative coaxial escapement to several choices, notably the Constellation, Seamaster, Speedmaster, and De Ville, that has pushed the business back into the technological frontrunners in their segment. Swatch Group subsidiary Nivarox-FAR finally improved the production of challenging, oil-free parts of the unit made by the Englishman George Daniels, although the escapement will continue to include lubrication as the long-term results of dry coaxial movements are less than satisfactory. Thus the most important plus for this escapement design remains high rate stability after careful regulation. So Omega will continue to surprise and can look to a bright near future.
